Characteristics

" Tussil. farfara is used to this day in the form of a confection for coughs. The leaves are mucilaginous and were much used in scrofulous affections. Smoking the dried leaves relieves coughs" (Cooper). Tus. far. has also a popular reputation in gonorrhœa.
