MIND
- Anxiety in the morning during a partial slumber, like the orgasm of blood, with frequent palpitation, so that he was obliged to sit upright, when it disappeared (fifth day).
HEAD
- Vertigo.
- Vertigo as if everything were turning in a circle, during rest (after five hours).
- Vertigo with nausea, while walking (after half an hour).
- General Head.
- Pressive drawing headache, extending from before backwards.
- Forehead.
- Pressing asunder headache on stooping, feels as if the forehead would press asunder.
- On rising up in bed in the morning, a burrowing pain as in suppuration in the forehead and occiput, which immediately disappears on lying down again (after twenty-four hours).
- Pressive headache above the forehead.
- Occiput.
- Bubbling sensation in the right side of the occipital bone, which extends to the right ear, where it leaves a dull pressive sensation.
EYE
- Itching on the margins of the lids, disappearing on rubbing.
EAR. [10.]
- Cramplike pain in the external ear.
- Feeling as if the inner meatus were swollen.
NOSE
- Objective.
- Stopped catarrh.
- Stopped catarrh for four or five days.
- Subjective.
- He feels like sneezing, as if he had catarrh.
- Itching on the inner surface of the left nostril.
FACE
- Pain on the outer side of the upper lip as from a splinter sticking into it.
- Sticking-itching pain above the left corner of the mouth, as if a splinter were sticking into it, in the morning.
- Unpleasant bubbling sensation in the right articulation of the lower jaw, where it leaves a feeling as if the parts were swollen.
MOUTH
- Dull sticking toothache. [20.]
- Tongue coated whitish-yellow, with a slimy taste in the mouth after dinner.
- Slimy taste on the tongue with a yellow fur.
THROAT
- Throat dark and scrapy.
- He hawks up much yellow mucus without coughing, for several days (after four days).
- Pressure in the throat on swallowing, as if the tonsils were congested and swollen.
STOMACH
- Swelling in the region of the pit of the stomach.
- Tightness in the pit of the stomach, as if everything there were too full and swollen (after twenty-four hours).
- Spasmodic pulling pain in the pit of the stomach and epigastric region, aggravated by pressure with the hand.
- Pressure in the pit of the stomach.
ABDOMEN
- Continual rumbling and noises in the abdomen as if diarrhœa would occur. [30.]
- Constant rumbling in the abdomen obliges him to go stool, but no stool follows, only emission of flatulence (after four hours).
- Flatulence accumulates beneath the hypochondria and causes pressure and pressing outward (after twenty-four hours).
- Stoppage and pressure in the abdomen as if everything were too full (after fourteen hours).
- Drawing pain in the pubis thrice repeated, while sitting.
- Colic as if he had taken cold and diarrhœa would come on, in the evening (after fourteen hours).
- Griping colic while in the house (after forty-eight hours).
- Pain like a suppuration in the right side of the abdomen.
- Itching-sticking pain in the left ilium (after thirty-six hours).
- Sharp stitch extending deep inward above the crest of the ilium, taking away the breath.
- Unusual feeling of relief of the abdominal symptoms after emission of flatulence.

- Itching in the rectum.
STOOL
- A thin stool consisting of small lumps (after twenty-four hours).
URINARY ORGANS
- Urethra.
- Slight itching-burning in the urethra.
- Tension in the urethra, with a sensation as if something alive were crawling about in it.
- Urine.
- The urine looks like clay-water.
- The urine deposits a red sediment after standing a few hours (after twenty hours).
RESPIRATORY ORGANS
- Dyspnœa.
CHEST
- Pulling tensive pain in the lower portion of the chest on inspiration, lasting several days.
- Pressure on both clavicles as if he had carried a heavy weight.
- Pressive pain transversely across the lower portion of the chest, as soon as he lies upon the back, immediately disappearing on lying upon the side (after forty-eight hours). [50.]
- Violent, pressive pain in the lower portion of the chest, worse on expiration and aggravated by bending the body sideways (after three hours).
- Feeling of heaviness on the chest, as from a great weight.
- Pain as if the whole chest were crushed (after three days).
- Sticking commencing in the left third false rib and extending to the right nipple.
- The whole internal chest pains as if suppurating, especially if he turns from left to right or from right to left.
- Excessive pain in the middle of the diaphragm on hawking mucus, as if it were adherent beneath and inflamed (after seventy-six hours).
- Front.
- Pain as if the lower portion of the sternum were pressed inward (after three hours).
- Sticking in the sternum.
- Dull sticking pain like suppuration in the upper part of the sternum on expiration.
NECK AND BACK
- Neck.
- Painful tension and pulling in the left cervical muscles. [60.]
- Painful paralytic drawing on the left side of the neck (after seven days).
- Pressive drawing in the cervical vertebræ as if it would draw the head towards the right side.
- Spasmodic pulling in the tendons of the right cervical muscles.
- Dorsal.
- Tensive pain between the scapulæ.
- Drawing and pulling in the dorsal vertebræ as if he would be bent backward; frequently repeated.
- Bruised pain in both scapulæ.
- Lumbar.
- Pressive pain in the small of the back.
- Pressive pain in the small of the back, which causes anxiety.
- Anxious pressive pain in the small of the back.
EXTREMITIES IN GENERAL
- Painless cracking in the joints.
SUPERIOR EXTREMITIES

- Pressive paralytic pain in the bend of the right elbow, gradually disappearing on stretching out the arm, but renewed immediately on flexing it, lasting several days (after four hours).
- Pain as from a sprain in the right elbow-joint (after twelve hours).
- Pressive tearing on the inner side of the right elbow-joint.
- Forearm.
- Drawing pain in the bones of the left forearm.
- Pain as from a blow on the outer portions of both forearm, during rest and motion.
- Wrist.
- Painful burrowing in the bones of the wrist, during both rest and motion. [80.]
- Tearing in the bones of the left wrist, extending towards the thumb.
- Hand.
- Cramplike pain in the left hand while writing (seventh day).
- Fingers.
- Cramplike pain in the second finger of the left hand (after two hours).
- Cramplike pain in the fingers of the left hand as if they would be contracted, disappearing on motion (after twelve hours).
- Drawing pain in the right little finger.
- Sticking as with needles in the left index finger.
- Tearing in the articulation of the right thumb, with violent bubbling (like the beating of the pulse), lasting several minutes.
- Crawling in the left thumb, which falls asleep.
INFERIOR EXTREMITIES
- Hip.
- While walking, stiffness in the right hip as if the tendons were too short.
- Thigh.
- Pinching as with pincers in the left gluteal muscles. [90.]
- Paralytic drawing extending down the left thigh (after forty-eight hours).
- Drawing pain in the left thigh.
- Sticking pain along the right thigh, followed by a pressive sensation (after a quarter of an hour).
- Several successive needlelike stitches in the outer side of the left thigh.
- Twitching in the left gluteal muscles, as if something living were beneath them (after twenty-four hours).
- Bruised pain in the thighs and scapulæ, as if the flesh were torn loose, lasting two days.
- Pain on the inner side of the right thigh, close to the knee, as if he had received a violent blow there (fifth day).
- Knee.
- Drawing pain in the tendons of the left knee-joint.
- Dull drawing pain in the right knee-joint, during rest.
- Sticking in the right knee. [100.]
- Dull sticking pain in the right patella, in bed.
- Three successive stitches in the hollow of the right knee, while walking and during rest.
- Twitching pain in the right knee-joint, afterwards in the articulations of both jaws and in the clavicles.
- Constant bubbling pain in the right knee-joint.
- Leg.
- Heaviness in the calves and muscles of the legs (after eighteen hours).
- Tension in the tendo Achillis as if it were swollen and too short, as soon as he bends the left foot forward.
- Painful drawing along the right tibia.
- Very painful drawing in the bones of the lower legs, during rest, disappearing on motion (fifth day).
- Painful pressure and throbbing in the left lower leg, in the morning.
- Bubbling and drawing in the muscles of the calves. [110.]
- Bubbling pain in the bones of the left lower legs, lasting three hours (after five hours).
- Trembling and bubbling in the tibia and middle toes while lying (after fourteen hours).
- Ankle.
- Pain as from a sprain in the left ankle during rest.
- Pain as from a sprain in the inner malleolus of the left ankle, in the morning (after twenty-four hours).
- Sharp sticking pain in the inner malleolus of the right foot, which takes away his breath.
- Throbbing pain in the inner malleolus of the right foot.
SKIN
- Itching crawling in the scar of an incised wound received several years previous, with elevation of the scar as if it would break out (after eight hours).
- Itching in the forepart of the penis. [120.]
- Itching on the scrotum, disappearing on rubbing.
- Itching and jerking in the right knee.
- Itching on the upper part of calves, on the knee-joints and inner side of the thighs, disappearing on scratching, followed by violent burning, in the evening in bed (after sixteen hours).
SLEEP AND DREAMS
- Wakes very early in the morning, without being able to fall asleep again.
- Vexatious, sad dreams.
- Dreams full of hunting; he laughs aloud in his sleep.
- He dreams that his abdomen is covered with warts and ulcers, to which he is indifferent.
FEVER
- Chilliness over the whole body, immediately on getting out of bed in the morning (after twenty-four hours).
- On raising the bed-covers somewhat, and allowing a little air to come to the feet, he becomes chilly over the whole body.
- Shivering.

- ( Flexing arm ), Pain in bend of elbow.
- ( Lying on back ), Pain across lower chest.
- ( Pressure ), Pain in pit of stomach, etc.
- ( During rest ), Pressure in ligaments of elbow-joints; pain in knee-joint; drawing in leg bones.
- ( While writing ), Pain in hand.
- Amelioration.
- ( Bending forward ), Pain in chest.
