Carboneum sulphuratum

Carboneum sulph. finds a field in those chronic cases of rheumatism having frequent attacks, which recover quickly from the acute articular manifestations, but linger along only to light up again at regular intervals.

It often has slight fever but the fever may be absent.

It is useful also in cases of gouty swellings which do not have the gouty dyscrasia.

NECK AND BACK

Rheumatic pains with stiffness of neck.

Sensation as if a heavy load were hanging on back between the shoulders.

Pain in small of back and loins.

Dislocated pain in right loin.

Tensive feeling in small of back, < by going upstairs, with occasional jerking toward hip joint.

SUPERIOR EXTREMITIES

Cracking in right shoulder joint from every motion, connected with severe stitches from shoulder to elbow, with every change of weather.

Jerking stitches in right shoulder.

Stitches from shoulder to elbow and wrist, < after midnight and during damp cold weather.

Tearing pain in left shoulder and right elbow.

Jerking flying stitches in wrists and finger joints.

GOUT OF HANDS.

INFERIOR EXTREMITIES

Jerking stitching pains in limbs.

Inflammation of left sciatic nerve from exposure to cold; inability to walk.

CHRONIC SCIATICA IN RIGHT LEG, MOVEMENTS IMPEDED.

Dislocated pain in right knee.

Sprained pain in left metatarsal bones.

Cramps in calves and toes.

Cracking in ankle joint.

Stabbing piercing pain in metatarsal bones when walking.

Bruised pain in soles.

Slightest motion brings on severe pains, especially in hips and knees, with redness and swelling of feet.

EXTREMITIES IN GENERAL

Tearing in all the limbs changing position rapidly.

JERKING, STITCHING, TEARING, FLYING PAINS RETURNING AT REGULAR INTERVALS.

Cracking of joints after inflammation.

CHRONIC RHEUMATIC AFFECTIONS WITH FREQUENT EXACERBATIONS.

CONCOMITANTS

VIOLENT HEADACHE.

NEURALGIA OF TEETH.

BELCHING OF SOUR FLATUS WHICH >.

FLATULENT distension of abdomen.

EXPIRATION HOT; BREATHING DIFFICULT; STITCHES IN CHEST.

Enlarged lymphatic glands.
