Common name: sal ammoniac.
Especially adapted to those, who are fat and sluggish; or whose bodies are large and fat, but legs too thin (A.).
Nasal catarrh: the discharge is watery and acrid, making the inside of the nostrils and the upper lip sore (All-C., Ars., Merc-C., Nat-M.) (C.).
Sensation of soreness in different parts of the body (Apis, Arn., Bell., Eup-P., Rhus-T., Pyrog.).
SENSATION OF COLDNESS IN THE BACK, BETWEEN THE SCAPULÃ (Lach.) (A.).
CONSTIPATION: STOOL HARD AND CRUMBLING (Nat-M.), REQUIRING GREAT EFFORT TO EXPEL (Alum., Plb., Sep.) (C.).
Constipation, alternating with diarrhÅa; hard stool, followed by a loose stool (Ant-C.) (G.).
Chronic congestion of the liver (Chin., Iod., Merc., Podo., Sep., Sulph.) (Br.).
HÃĻmorrhoids: sore and smarting; with burning and stinging in the rectum, for hours after stool (A.).
Burning, stinging and throbbing, as from a boil (Apis, Ars-I., Hep.).
LEUCORRHÅA: LIKE WHITE OF AN EGG, PRECEDED BY GRIPING PAIN ABOUT THE NAVEL; BROWN, SLIMY, PAINLESS, AFTER EVERY URINATION (A.).

Tension in the joints, as from shortening of the muscles.

SCIATICA: WORSE SITTING, BETTER LYING (Br.).
Ebullition, with anxiety and weakness. Irregular circulation (B.).
Chilly, as often as he wakes (B.).
Night sweat over the whole body, most copious after midnight and early in the morning (Ars., Chel., Ferr., Phos., Psor., Sil., Tub.) (G.).
Regurgitation of food (Nux-V., Puls., Sep.) (G.).

Blisters on the tongue (Ars., Nat-M., Rhus-T.).
Sorethroat, with viscid phlegm, so tough that it cannot be hawked up (Alum., Bor., Kali-B.).
Cough, with salivation (Ambr., Ars., Carb-V., Cycl., Lach., Merc.) or liver symptoms (B.).
Many group of symptoms are accompanied by cough.
Noisy, rattling, tenacious mucus in the chest (Carb-V., Hydr., Nat-S.) (B.).
In the morning hours she feels stiff, but is relieved by walking in the open air.
Menses too early, with pain in the abdomen and small of back (C.).
During menses: diarrhÅa and vomiting; bloody discharge from the bowels (Phos.); neuralgic pains in the feet; flow more profuse at night (Bov.; on lying down- Kreos.) (A.).
Moving the arms with force, or even stooping, excites asthma (G.).
Complains of heaviness in the chest (Bry., Phos.) (F.).
Backache, as if in a vise, when sitting (Br.).
Hoarseness, with burning in region of the larynx (Caust., Phos.) (G.).
Throbbing in the tonsils (Bell.) (F.).
HÃĻmorrhoids, after suppressed leucorrhÅa (Br.).
Hard stool, covered with mucus (Graph.) (C.).
Profuse and frequent discharge of urine at night (Ambr., Phos-Ac.) (C.).
AGGRAVATION: Of the head and chest symptoms, in the morning; of the abdominal symptoms, in the afternoon; and of the skin and fever symptoms, in the evening.
AMELIORATION: In the open air.
RELATIONSHIP: Similar to Alum., Amm-C., Arg-N., Ars., Kali-C., Mur-Ac., Nat-M., Phos., Sil. and Sulph.
Antidotes: Camph., Coff., Hep., and Nux-V.
Antidotes to large doses: Vinegar or Vegetable Acids.
