EYE
- Objective.
- The eyes lie excessively deep, with blue raised rings around them, as after great excesses, lasting four days, 12.
- The right eye is much larger than usual (more widely opened), (after seventy-eight hours), 3.
- Inflammation of the white of the eye, with pain, 1.
- At night, dry matter collects upon the lashes and in the outer canthus; in the open air, the matter from the eyes also dries and causes tension, 1.
- The eyes close at times, though he is not sleepy, 3.
- Subjective.
- Dryness of the eyes, lasting all day (after thirteen hours), 7.*
- The eyes are dry, in the morning on waking , with pressure in them, so that she cannot open them without assistance, 1.*

- Violent fluent coryza; one nostril is stopped, the other is not, with frequent sneezing, lachrymation and cracked lips (after three, and four days), 10.
- Coryza; at first discharge of only thick mucus, afterwards of thin water (after four days), 8.
- (Stoppage of the nose, in the evening, so that she could get not air through it, made talking difficult), 1.
- The nose is sore internally, with a scab deep internally, 1.

FACE

- Very fine needlelike stitches in the face and other parts of the body, 3.

- Lip.
- A sticking-burning vesicle on the margin of the red of the lower lip, on touch, 13.
- Ulcer on the lip, with gnawing-drawing pains (after thirty-seven hours), 8.
- An ulcer on the margin of the red of the lower lip, with a shiny look, with dull sticking-drawing pain, at times associated with a not disagreeable itching, which provokes scratching, and is followed by dull sticking (after six hours), 8.
- Ulcer on the lip, discharge at first of pus, afterwards of only greenish water (after three days), 6.
- A scurfy ulcer in the middle of the upper lip, 1. [200.]
- A pimple covered with a scab, in the red of the upper lip, with a burning sensation, 1.
- Burning for a minute, almost in the middle of the upper lip, on the outer margin, 12.

MOUTH
- Teeth.
- The teeth soon become black, she is obliged to clean them twice a day, and still black streaks remain across them, 1.*
- A tooth that had for a long time been a little decayed rapidly became hollow, within eight days, 3.* [210.]
- A piece scales off from the posterior surface of an incisor (after twenty-eight hours), 8.*
- Toothache caused by drawing air into the mouth, 1.*
- Toothache on eating, the teeth are not firm but wabble about when touched; he cannot chew his food properly, for when chewing or pressing the teeth together, it seems as though the teeth were pressed deeper into the gum; therewith the gum is white (after fifty-six hours), 8.
- Pain in a hollow tooth, always after eating, a biting drawing (but in the incisors a pressure), which is excessively aggravated in the open air, even while the mouth is closed, which gradually ceased in the house, for several days (after five days), 3.*
- The hollow teeth are sensitive to the slightest touch, and if after eating the slightest food remains in the cavities, there is a violent pain, extending into the roots of the teeth, and the gum about the teeth becomes painfully sore, 6.*
- Any cold drink seems to penetrate the teeth as if they were hollow, 12.*
- A painful draft in the teeth, from time to time, followed by throbbing in the gum, 1.
- The teeth begin to grumble, while chewing, 3.
- A piercing drawing in a tooth itself, that becomes hollow, and in the corresponding one on the other side, in the morning, 1.*
- Pressive-drawing toothache in the anterior teeth, as after Mercury, worse at night towards morning, 1. [220.]
- Violent drawing toothache, with swelling of the cheek, pressive headache in the same side, and heat in the face, 1.
- Drawing pain, only in a hollow tooth, in the morning (after seventy-two hours), 3.

THROAT
- Dryness of the throat, especially in the evening before falling asleep; sticking in the throat, on swallowing, 1.
- Throat rough, as if painfully sore, when talking and swallowing, 1.*

- Painful drawing, extending from the hyoid bone deep into the neck beneath the lower jaw, aggravated by touching the side of the neck (after forty-eight hours), 8.
- Scraping sensation in the fauces behind the nares, as if one had drawn snuff through, 5.
- Swelling of the tonsils and submaxillary glands, 1.
- Swelling of the submaxillary gland, which prevents swallowing, for four hours (after three hours), 13.

STOMACH
- Appetite and Thirst.

- A long-continued dull stitch in the region of the navel, aggravated by expiration and by pressure (after eight hours), 8.
- Pinching stitches, sharp and rhythmical, to the left above the navel, 4. [310.]
- Rumbling in the left side of the abdomen (after one hour), 7.
- Drawing in the sides of the abdomen, extending downward, as if the menses would appear (after four days), 1.
- Hard painful pressure in the right side beneath the umbilicus, 4.
- Pinching stitch in the left side, in the abdominal viscera (after thirty-eight hours), 5.
- General Abdomen.
- Loud rumbling in the abdomen, 1.
- Rumbling and colic, for many days, 1.
- Rumbling in the abdomen after dinner, sounding like forming and bursting bubbles, 10.
- Violent rumbling and gurgling in the abdomen, without pain and without emission of flatus (after one hour and a half), 12.
- Great emission of flatus, 5.

RECTUM AND ANUS
- Constant pressive pain in the rectum, while sitting, 5.
- A pressing pain deep in the rectum, for three-quarters of an hour after a hard stool, 1. [350.]
- A smarting sore pain in the rectum, for a long time after a stool, 1.*
- Violent itching in the anus, with pimples, 1.
- Itching in the anus while sitting, when not at stool (after seven hours), 5.*
- After an evacuation of stool, another ineffectual urging follows without any stool, in the rectum, 1.
- He was frequently obliged to go to stool, without colic; always very scanty and very hard fæces were passed, with pain in the anus as if it would split, 1.
STOOL
- Diarrhœa, in the morning, preceded by cutting pain and nausea; the last stool consisted only of mucus, 1 . [The following four symptoms seem to have been caused by too large a dose, which makes almost every drug act as a purge; for the primary action of this drug seems to be a pressive colic at stool, constipation, and either a very scanty, hard, or more seldom, a thin evacuation, which has also been noticed by other provers. Compare ss. 326, 327, 332, 368, 369, 370.]
- Diarrhœa, with colic, the last part slimy (after forty-two and eighty-four hours), 1.
- A thin stool passes unconsciously, with a sensation as if flatus would pass (after two hours), 1.
- Diarrhœa-like stool mixed with flatus (after three hours), 1.
- Several usual thin stools, several days in succession, 1. [360.]
- In the morning, immediately after a hard stool, a very thin, copious, yellow one, 12.
- Stool soft (after forty-nine hours), 5.
- Stool soft, but difficult to evacuate, on account of constriction in the anus, as from hæmorrhoids, 3.
- Difficult stool; first the evacuation of hard fæces followed by softer, with great distress and straining, as if the rectum were constricted, with continued but ineffectual effort, followed by tenesmus, 13.
- A natural hard stool passed with flatus intermixed, 1.
- Hard scanty stool, with burning-cutting pain in the abdomen (after ten hours), 7.
- Hard, scanty, thin stool passed, with pressive pain in the anus (after twenty-six hours), 7.
- Stool hard (first day); none (second day); hard again (third day); natural (fourth day), 10.
- Constipation, for several days (first days), 1.
- Stools twelve hours later than usual, and passed in small pieces (after fourteen, and fifteen hours), 7. [370.]
- The stool was delayed a long time, on account of lack of peristaltic action of the large intestine, 3.
URINARY ORGANS
- Kidneys and Bladder.
- Itching needlelike stitches in the region of the kidneys, 4.
- Pressure upon the bladder , on waking from sleep; she was obliged to urinate much, and still after an hour there was a renewed desire to urinate, with pressure, 1.
- Urethra.
- Discharge of prostatic fluid during the evacuation of a hard stool, 1.
- Pain, as from a sprain, in the upper part of the urethra behind the pubis, immediately after micturition, 11.
- A biting-burning crawling in the orifice of the urethra, when not urinating, 1.
- A burning in the whole of the urethra for several days, with every micturition, 1.*
- A burning far back in the urethra, while sitting, only when not urinating, 1.
- A kind of burning in the middle of the urethra, when not urinating (after six hours), 10.
- Cutting pain during micturition, still worse afterwards, 1.
- Micturition and Urine. [380.]
- Frequent urging to urinate, with much discharge (after six hours), 11.
- Urging to urinate; scarcely a spoonful was passed, mostly of a dark-yellow red color, in a thin stream; at times dribbling of urine, always followed by a sensation as if the bladder were not yet empty, for some dribbling continued, 4.*
- On coughing, the urine involuntarily spurted from her, 1.
- The first four days the urine was passed every quarter of an hour in a small quantity; on the following days the usual amount was passed, was of a dark color, and always every hour, 4.
- He was obliged to urinate frequently, but little was passed; on the second day an increased quantity, but less frequently, 8.

SEXUAL ORGANS
- Male.
- A soft moist growth in the fossa, behind the corona glandis, and a similar one on the glans itself, in both of which itching is caused by the rubbing of the shirt, 1.
- Moisture on the corona glandis, beneath the prepuce, 1.
- Erections, without lascivious thoughts and without emission, the whole night, 11.
- Excessive erections all night, without emission (after sixteen hours), 11.
- Sticking pain in the right side of the glans penis, while standing and walking, 11.
- Painless bubbling in the scrotum, 1. [400.]
- Itching within the scrotum, which is only somewhat relieved by pressure and rubbing between the fingers, 1.
- Pressive drawing (tearing) in the right testicle, as if forcibly compressed, 4.
- Pressive pain in the left testicle while walking, as also after rubbing; still more violent when touched (after eight hours), 8.*
- The primary action causes great sexual desire; in the secondary effect or reaction of the organism (after five or six days) there follows indifference and total lack of sexual desire, both in the sexual organs and in the emotions, 1.
- An emission, at night, without dreams, 3.
- An emission during the afternoon sleep, the like of which had not happened for thirty years, in an old man (after twelve hours), 1.
- Emission three nights in succession, 1.
- Emission five nights in succession, always with lascivious dreams, 1.
- Female.
- Painful sensitiveness of the female sexual organs; on sitting down it hurts, 1.*
- A vesicle posteriorly within the right labia majora, with biting by itself, and a sore pain when touched (after nine days), 1. [410.]
- A biting in the pudenda, even when not urinating, 1.
- Spasmodic pain in the pudenda and vagina, 1.
- Fine sticking itching in the vagina, 1.
- The menses, that had ceased for a year, reappeared, with cutting colic and violent rumbling, at the time of the new moon, . [Since this was only the primary action of the drug, the menses did not return on the following months. -Hahnemann.]
RESPIRATORY ORGANS
- Sharp irritation to cough, in the larynx, but slight cough, immediately after eating (after four days), 3.
- Constant inclination to hack on account of tenacious mucus in the larynx, which he cannot loosen by coughing, 4.
- Voice.
- Voice very weak on account of weakness in the vocal organs, though in other respects he is active, 3.
- Cough and Expectoration.
- Cough and coryza, for several weeks, 1.
- Cough, caused by tickling irritation, only during the day, 1.
- Violent cough after lying down, in the evening, and at noon, with tenacious expectoration, 1. [420.]
- Cough, with yellow expectoration like husks, worse in the forenoon from 9 to 12, less early in the morning (after five days), 1.
- Cough, with expectoration, always of 5 to 8 drops of blood, and always preceded by a scraping sensation in the chest, 1.
- Cough, with expectoration of mucus, 1.
- Sharp cough and accumulation of water in the mouth always soon after eating; it seems as though this water would violently force through the pharynx and causes a cutting in it (after twenty-six hours), 3.
- Sharp cough, which threatens to tear open the larynx, as if caused by costal constriction of the trachea without special previous irritation (after four hours), 3.
- Easy expectoration of much mucus by hacking, 10.
- Respiration.
- Dyspnœa towards the end of coition, 1.
CHEST
- Tightly adherent mucus lies in the chest for the first six or eight hours and several mornings; afterwards, and during the day, easy expectoration of mucus from the chest, 1.
- The chest feels weak; something lies firmly adherent in the trachea, that compels hawking, 1.
- Oppression, like a constriction, in the chest, causing slow and very difficult inspiration; expiration relieves, together with anxiety and uneasiness, worse while sitting, better while walking, lasting five hours (after six hours), 2. [430.]
- An oppression upon the chest, an uneasy sensation in the afternoon that drives him from place to place, and does not permit him to remain in any place, 1.
- Uneasiness in the chest, 1.
- A pressure in the chest, and a heaviness in it, while sitting, relieved while walking, 1.
- Attempts to eructate cause a pressure and sticking, extending into the chest, 1.

- Pain in the pectoral muscles, as if beaten, in the morning on moving in bed, and during the day on crossing the arms; she felt nothing on touching the parts, or on breathing, 1.
- A dull sticking-pressive pain in the cartilages of the last ribs on stooping, they are also painfully sore on touch, 1.
- Painful stitches in the chest, making expiration difficult, 11.
- Sticking cutting in the costal cartilages of the left side; it seems as though one had been cut, associated with stitches, 8.
- Dull stitches in both sides of the costal muscles, while sitting, worse on leaning backward, and persistent during inspiration and expiration (after half an hour), 5. [440.]
- Sticking itching between the costal cartilages, 8.
- Front and Sides.
- Constant pain in the middle of the sternum, as from a sore, worse on rising up and stretching out the body; also pain on touch, like a tension and pressure, so that at times it took away the breath, 1.
- Pain behind the sternum, as if suppurating, when coughing, 1.
- Pinching pressure below the sternum, just to the left of the ensiform cartilage, 4.
- Sensation of soreness behind the sternum, .
HEART
- He woke from the afternoon nap with most violent palpitation, 1.
- A beating palpitation on slight motion, 1.
- Palpitation while walking, and when listening to music, 1.
NECK AND BACK
- Neck.
- Stiffness of the nape of the neck, 1.
- A pressure and tension in the muscles of the nape of the neck and left shoulder (after half an hour), 1.
- A tense pain in the left side of the neck and occiput, only at night, which frequently wakes from sleep, and on account of which he can lie upon neither the right nor left side, 11. [460.]
- Tensive pressure in the side of the neck, 3.
- Rheumatic pain, like a drawing, in the nape of the neck and between the scapulæ, in the morning; she was unable to move the arms on rising from bed on account of pain, and could not turn the neck the whole forenoon, several mornings in succession, with weakness of the whole body, lasting till noon, 1.
- Rheumatic painfulness, like a drawing pressure and stiffness, in the neck, at its union with the shoulder, on bending the neck forward, 3.

- Fine papular eruption on the face, forehead, cheeks, and near the corners of the mouth, which caused a sticking itching, and when touched a pain as if suppurating (after nine hours), 3.
- Eruption of small (itching?) isolated pimples on the face, 1.
- Pimples about the inflamed eye, 1.
- A large but painless pimple surrounded by a white tip in the fossa behind the lobule of the ear, 1. [620.]
