Camphora is to be thought of in those cases of rheumatic troubles marked by sudden and profound prostration, where one part after another is attacked in rapid succession, with pains changing rapidly, but persistently returning.
NECK AND BACK
Painful drawing and stiffness in neck on walking in open air.
Sensation of stiffness in right side of neck.

Stitches in neck near right shoulder.
Tensive pain in muscles of nape on every motion.
Tearing pain in nape on bending forward.
PAIN IN FIFTH, SIXTH AND SEVENTH CERVICAL VERTEBRÆ, < ON MOVING THE HEAD, > by external pressure.
Heat with an inward vibration spreads from neck and between the shoulders to limbs.
RHEUMATIC PAINS BETWEEN THE SHOULDERS.

Cold sensation runs up back, then all over body followed by heat.
Pressive pain in small of back with lead-like heaviness of lower limbs.

Drawing in glutei muscles as if the thigh were paralyzed.

Tearing in anterior muscles of thigh.
CRACKING AND CREAKING IN HIPS, KNEES AND ANKLE JOINTS.
STITCHES IN PATELLA.
Heaviness in the knees.
