NOSE
- Objective.
- Nose swollen on the left side, with pain, which is less in the open air, and worse by contact (third day), 2.

- Epistaxis from the right nostril; the blood is black and clotted, with itching; the epistaxis continued until 1 o'clock, when it became profuse; the blood, however, being light red (fifth day), 2.

- Heat in the nose, and sensation as from a current of cold air in the left nasal fossa (third day), 1. [60.]
- Burning in the corner of the left nostril, with pricking at the tip of the nose, for fifteen minutes (sixth day), 1.

FACE
- A streak of pain from the temple to the chin, as if the face were cut with a razor (sixth day), 2.

THROAT

- When eating a cake, it sticks in the œsophagus, and then suddenly falls as if shaken down; the same occurs when drinking (third day), 2.

- Pain from the left ear to the lower part of the neck, along the course of the carotid artery, worse when inclining the head to the right (sixth day), 2.
- Pain like a cramp in the right side of the neck, extending to various parts of the shoulder and arm; relieved by pressure (third day), 2.

- Severe pain in the left arm before rising; she cannot stretch it; the more she covers it the greater is the pain; at last she uncovers it, and the pain ceases at once (first day), 1.

INFERIOR EXTREMITIES

- Contraction of the legs, which cannot be bent on account of the stiffness of the bend of the knee (third day), 2.
