About E. B. Nash
Eugene Beauharnais Nash, MD (1838–1917) was an American homeopathic physician, teacher, and author. He graduated from Cleveland Homoeopathic Medical College in 1874 and practised in New York State, eventually settling in Cortland.
Nash taught materia medica at the New York Homoeopathic Medical College and served as president of the International Hahnemannian Association. He is best known for Leaders in Homoeopathic Therapeutics; his shorter books apply the same comparative method to single remedies, single diseases, and clinical cases.
About The Testimony of the Clinic
The Testimony of the Clinic was published by Boericke & Tafel in 1911. Nash gathered one hundred cases — many his own, the rest from colleagues whose reports he trusted, among them Lutze, Goodno, Kent, and Wesselhœft — and arranged them under the twenty-five remedies that cured them, from Apis to Mezereum.
Each case records the symptoms that decided the prescription, the potency given, and the outcome. Many chapters close with a résumé of the remedy's leading indications. In his preface Nash presents the collection as evidence for the similar remedy, the single remedy, and the minimum dose.
Similia's text follows the 1911 edition. The cases appear under their remedy, as in the book; the preface and index are not included.
