Catarrhal asthma, with red face and well-marked sibilant rales. He coughs, and a successful cough raises phlegm, which relieves the asthma (F.).
Every stool is followed by thirst and every drink by shuddering (A.).

Tenesmus of rectum and bladder at the same time (N.).

INFLAMMATION OF THE PETROUS (PORTION OF THE TEMPORAL) BONE; VERY TENDER TO THE TOUCH (Hep., Lach.) (G.).
CARIES OF THE MASTOID (Aur., Fluor-AC., Hep., Sil.) (N.).
Swelling and pain behind the ears (Merc., Sil.) (Br.).
Fetid odour from the mouth (Ars., Aur., Bry., Carb-V., Nux-V., Puls.) (Br.).
It should be studied in malarial fever when the liver and the spleen are enlarged, especially if the spleen is sensitive, swollen, indurated and large amount of quinine has been employed (Bl.).
INTERMITTENT FEVER CHILL PREDOMINANT; THIRST IN THE CHILL, OR DURING THE CHILL AND HEAT, MUCH PAIN IN THE BACK AND LIMBS (Ma. and Ht.).
CHILL BEGINS BETWEEN THE SHOULDER-BLADES (N.).
Chill predominates in the back, and there is an inordinate desire for cold water (Bt.).
THE CHILL COMMENCES IN THE BACK WITH THIRST, BUT DRINKING CAUSES SHIVERING (D.).
During chill must have something hot to the back (Br.).
AS THE COLDNESS OF THE BODY INCREASES, SO ALSO DOES THE ILL-HUMOUR (A.).
AGGRAVATION: In the evening; after eating; after drinking; when beginning to move; in the open air; and from uncovering.
AMELIORATION: After having moved about for some time; and from heat.
