À propos de Jeremy Sherr
Jeremy Sherr is a homeopath, prover and author who was born in South Africa and grew up in Israel. He began homoeopathic studies in 1980 at the College of Homoeopathy in London, while simultaneously completing a degree in acupuncture at the International College of Oriental Medicine. In 1986 he founded the Dynamis School (the Dynamis School for Advanced Homoeopathic Studies), described as the longest-running post-graduate homoeopathy course in the world.
Sherr is best known for his work on the homoeopathic proving. He resurrected the proving tradition in 1982 with the remedy Androctonus and has since conducted Hahnemannian provings of more than 40 new remedies, substantially expanding the materia medica available to practitioners. His writing codified this work: 'The Dynamics and Methodology of Homoeopathic Provings' (1994), with a foreword by Edward C. Whitmont, set out a systematic approach to conducting provings, and his materia medica studies — including 'Dynamic Materia Medica: Syphilis' and in-depth works on the Noble Gases (Helium, Neon, Argon and Krypton) — document remedies through detailed study and original proving data.
Beyond provings and materia medica, Sherr created Q-Rep: The Repertory of Mental Qualities, a repertory organised around major psychological qualities rather than fragmented conventional rubrics. He holds a PhD from Medicina Alternativa and from Pioneer University, received a Fellowship from the Society of Homoeopaths in 1991, and was awarded the 2024 Peter Fisher NCH Researcher of the Year Award.
In 2009 Sherr co-founded Homoeopathy for Health in Africa, an NGO offering free or low-cost homoeopathic care in the Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions of Tanzania. He lives in Tanzania with his wife Camilla, who is also a homoeopath.
