If you searched for Cara homeopathic software, you are looking for a program that is no longer sold. Cara (Computer Assisted Repertory Analysis) was David Witko’s 1980s repertory for the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital. Cara Professional followed in the late 1990s. The line then became ISIS, then ISIS Vision, then Vision — Miccant’s current desktop repertory. What Cara was
David Witko began digitising Kent for PCs in the early 1980s at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital. That program became Cara. Cara Professional was the late-1990s expansion. In 2003 the line was reborn as ISIS, later ISIS Vision, later shortened to Vision (“for obvious reasons,” in Miccant’s own historical note). Witko was appointed a Fellow of the UK Society of Homeopaths for that work.
Cara mattered because it was early, hospital-tested, and British. It does not matter as a shopping SKU in 2026. If a forum thread still says “get Cara,” the practical question is Vision (if you want that desktop lineage) or a browser platform (if you do not want another orphaned installer).
What succeeded Cara
Miccant’s current repertory is Vision version 2. Combined Repertory plus a listed classical set ship in the box; Complete, Saine, Murphy, and materia medica titles are add-ons.
