Sobre Robin Murphy ND
Robin Murphy, ND was born on 15 August 1950 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and died on 17 November 2021. An American naturopathic physician, he taught and practiced homeopathy, Oriental medicine, Tai Chi and Qigong for over thirty years. He carried out his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor before entering the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in 1976 on a Hahnemann Scholarship.
Murphy directed the homeopathy program at NCNM from 1980 to 1984 and also taught at Bastyr University. He served as director of the Lotus Health Institute, which sponsors seminars on homeopathy, qigong and natural medicine and was originally known as the Hahnemann Academy of North America. Through this teaching and lecturing work he became a widely followed educator within the modern American homeopathic community.
Murphy's stated goal was to create a modern, easy-to-use repertory for daily practice. This work resulted in the Homeopathic Medical Repertory, first published in 1993 and later issued as Murphy's MetaRepertory (now in its 4th edition), together with the Lotus Materia Medica, now published as Nature's Materia Medica (4th edition). His repertory is distinguished by a practitioner-oriented, alphabetical organization of rubrics intended to make reference faster and more intuitive in clinical use, and both works remain widely used reference titles in contemporary homeopathic practice.
