Acalypha Indica Linn. Euphorbiaceæ.

A weed common in the East Indies, like nettle. Proved and applied by Tonnere, of Calcutta, and Payne, of Bath. Holcombe's cure.

MIND [1]

Gloomy and despairing, but very unwilling to die. θ Hæmoptysis.

Leucorrhœa, sometimes thick, sometimes watery. θ Consumptive patient.

COUGH [27]

Cough, with bloody expectoration. θ Tuberculosis.

Violent dry cough, followed by bloody expectoration.

Hæmoptysis.

Hæmoptysis : expectorates pure blood in morning, dark lumps (clotted) in evening. Cough most violent at night. θ Tubercular deposits in apex of lung.

INNER CHEST AND LUNGS [28]

Dulness in chest on percussion. θ Hæmoptysis.

Constant and severe pain in chest. θ Hæmoptysis.

HEART, PULSE AND CIRCULATION [29]

Pulse small and depressed.

Pulse from 100 to 120. θ Hæmoptysis.

TIME [38]

Night : cough most violent.

Morning : expectorates pure blood.

Evening : expectorates dark clotted blood.

FEVER [40]

Slow fever.

TISSUES [44]

Progressive emaciation. θ Hæmoptysis.

RELATIONS [48]

Collaterally related to all Euphorbiaceæ ; especially to Mercurialis annua and Mancin .
